Obituary for Eleanor Wilson
Eleanor E. Snoke Wilson, 90, of the Green Ridge Village Nursing Home, Newville, and formerly of Elliottsburg, Hummelstown, and Hershey, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012, in the nursing home.
Born in Pillow on April 9, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Nathaniel and Elizabeth Warner Snoke.
Eleanor was a homemaker. She was a member of Messiah Evangelical Lutheran Church, Elliottsburg. Eleanor enjoyed canning, baking, and processing honey.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her three husbands, Marlin B. Weaver, George Brown, and Roy R. Wilson; two sons, Dale E. Weaver and Donald M. Weaver; one daughter, Irene E. Romozi; two grandsons, Andrew E. Weaver and David Robinson; and two granddaughters, Terri Henderson and Holly A. Robinson; two brothers, Raymond N. Snoke and Mark A. Snoke; two sisters, Arlene Leitzel and Helen Stoner.
She is survived by one son, Edwin N. Weaver husband of Martha A. Peeling Weaver; five step-sons, Marlin E. Wilson, Larry R. Wilson, John R. Wilson, Donald P. Wilson, and George Brown; two step-daughters, Barbara D. Allison and Wendy Jean Ritz; one brother, LeRoy Snoke; 5 grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 8, 2012, at 1 PM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with The Rev. Miriam L. Nicholson, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Township. Friends are invited to visit with the family Friday from 12:00 noon until time of the service.
