Trudy M. Jones Lingle, 64, of Hummelstown, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2012, in her home.
Born in Harrisburg on May 13, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Roy P. Jones and Gertrude M. Lynch Jones of Harrisburg.
Trudy enjoyed working as a registered nurse. There was nothing in life, save being a mom and grandmother, that brought her greater pride or satisfaction than being a nurse. She was a 1966 graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School, Harrisburg, and went on to receive her nursing degree from Harrisburg Area Community College. Trudy was a member of the Evangelical Free Church of Hershey. She loved painting and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob L. Lingle, Jr. on September 25, 2000.
Trudy is survived by her son, CDR Daniel K. Clouser, USN of La Mesa, CA; two sisters, Kathleen A. Jones of Harrisburg, and Mary Ellen White of Washington state; two grandchildren, Samantha Clouser and Nanami M. Clouser; and two step-grandchildren, Tanner Rowell and Bennett Rowell.
A memorial service will be held Monday, June 11, 2012, at 11 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown. Inurnment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery, Linglestown. Friends will be received for a visitation in the funeral home on Monday from 10 AM until time of the services.
