Obituary for Joella Frentz (Bishop)
Joella Bishop Frentz, 77, of Hummelstown, passed away Monday, May 8, 2017 in her home with her loving family by her side.
Born on January 17, 1940, in Indianapolis, IN, she was the daughter of the late Harold Charles and Marie Scharfenberger Bishop.
Joella was a devoted homemaker who loved nothing more than caring for her family. She also found great joy in working in her flower beds.
Joella is survived by her husband of 57 years, James Benjamin Frentz, whom she married on July 11, 1959; seven sons, James B. Frentz, Jr. (Rhonda), John Frentz (Martha), Matthew Frentz (Penny), Joseph Frentz, Christopher Frentz (LuAnn), Michael Frentz (Danele), and Andrew Frentz (Meghan Kane); two daughters, Madonna Frentz Overby (Clif), and Patricia Sullivan (James); 20 grandchildren, Melissa Frentz, Shana Frentz Gzesh, James B. Frentz III, Michael Frentz, Christopher Frentz, Jennifer Smith, Clifton J. Overby IV, Maxwell Overby, Katie Frentz, Sara Frentz, Matthew Frentz, Angela Little, Karri Emeigh, Ben Sullivan, Aaron Frentz, Evan Frentz, Jason Frentz, Cassidy Frentz, Delilah Frentz, and Zachary Frentz; 9 great grandchildren, Kala Strunk, Caleb Eisenhour, Kyleigh Eisenhour, Bradley Frentz, Calan Frentz, Elijah Gzesh, Madison Pavlesich, Ryan Pavlesich, and Carter Frentz; 7 sisters, and 1 brother.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017, from 9 to 11 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
