Obituary for Charlotte Bingaman
Charlotte M. Taylor Bingaman, 89, of Hummelstown, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017, in the M. S. Hershey Medical Center.
Born in Locust Gap on February 8, 1928, she was the daughter of the late James Albert and Esther Amanda Kostenbauder Taylor.
Charlotte retired as a Mail Room Supervisor from Nationwide Insurance Company, Harrisburg. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Hummelstown. Charlotte was also a former member of the Eastern Star. She loved doing word searches and watching sports on television; and found enjoyment in collecting lady bugs, clowns, and miniature clocks.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Harold B. “Bish” Bingaman, on June 5, 1998; two brothers, Robert Taylor and James Taylor; and two sisters, Jan Borsellini and Sally Kent.
She is survived by a daughter, Cindy M. Brumbaugh wife of Tom S. of Hummelstown; two grandchildren, Jessica M. Margetan wife of Derek J., and Jason T. Brumbaugh, both of Hummelstown; two sisters, Marie Beaver wife of William, and Bess Wolfgang, both of Locust Gap; one brother, Mick Taylor of New Jersey; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 24, 2017, at 11 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with Chaplain Kate R. Smith, chaplain of the Union Deposit Volunteer Fire Company, officiating. Interment will be in Grand View Memorial Park, Annville. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing in the funeral home on Friday from 10 AM until time of the service.
