Haines Fry Jr.
Haines T. Fry, Jr., 72, of Hummelstown, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017, in his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Harrisburg on November 29, 1944, he was the son of the late Haines T. Fry, Sr. and Virgie Malloy Fry.
Haines retired after driving truck for 20 years for Stroehmann Bakeries. He was an US Army veteran having served during the Cold War in the Bay of Pigs Invasion. Haines was a member of Local Union 464, Hershey, and attended Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hummelstown. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 265, Hummelstown. Haines loved going camping and fishing; and enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Geraldine P. Kelly Brenner Fry, whom he married on November 23, 1985; his children, Roseanne Snyder and Dorothy “Dee” Shultz wife of Thomas both of Elizabethtown, Gene W. Hamilton husband of Michelle of Pilesgrove, NJ, Brian C. Fry husband of Maura of Mt. Joy, and Kelly J. Brenner of Hummelstown; his siblings, Robert Fry husband of Judy of Panama City, FL, and Betty Jean Fry of Pennsville, NJ; 16 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and his nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Haines was preceded in death by a son, Robert H. Fry; a granddaughter, Faith Amber Fry; and a step-son, John M. Brenner.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 20, 2017 at 11:30 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown. Interment with military honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. A viewing will be held Monday in the funeral home from 10:30 AM until time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, PA 17036, to help offset the cost of the funeral expenses.
