Obituary for William Deimler

William Deimler
William J. Deimler passed away on Monday March 19, 2018, at the Hershey Medical Center with his family at his side.
He was born on February 8, 1956, in Hershey, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Wilson R. Deimler and the late Madalene P. Smith Deimler. He is preceded in death by his brothers, John F. Deimler of Hummelstown, Thomas R. Deimler of Palmyra, and Robert A. Deimler of Bay View, Idaho.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Colleen L. Ross Deimler; daughter, Sheila M. Deimler Koch, wife of Keith Koch of Hershey; son, Shaun W. Deimler of Hershey; brothers, James W. Deimler of Steelton, and Michael D. Deimler of Hershey; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family.
He graduated in 1974 from Dauphin County Vocational Technical School with honors and a full scholarship. He then began employment at S&H Pontiac, currently Faulkner Hyundai, on Paxton Street in Harrisburg, and worked there until his retirement in January of 2018.
His lifelong passion from childhood was working on cars. He loved Ford cars and trucks and had the pleasure of owning and modifying many Mustangs, as well as his favorite, a 1969 Ford Fairlane Cobra with a 428 that he purchased his senior year of high school and still has today. In his lifetime he also enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, playing poker and golf, and spending time with family.
Services will be held Saturday, March 24, 2018, at 11 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with The Rev. David H. Dow, pastor of St. Jacob’s Kimmerling Church, Lebanon, officiating. A viewing will be held in the funeral home from 10 AM until time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 1019 Mumma Road, Wormleysburg, PA 17043.
