Obituary for John L. Feiman
John L. (Joe) Feiman, 67, of Hummelstown, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018 in the M. S. Hershey Medical Center, with his loving wife by his side.
Born in Harrisburg on August 31, 1950, John was the son of the late John J. and Virginia A. Hoover Feiman.
John was a retired systems analyst with 38 years of service for Defense Logistics Agency, New Cumberland. He was a 1968 graduate of Lower Dauphin High School, Hummelstown. A proud U.S. Army veteran, John served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 265, Hummelstown, VFW Post 3502, Hershey, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 410, Middletown, and an Eagle Scout with Boy Scout Troop 74, Hummelstown. He had a passion for riding his motorcycle and great love for the outdoors; taking walks with his wife, kayaking, and hunting. John was kind and giving, always willing to help those who needed it even if he did not know them.
John is survived by his wife of 22 years, Suzanne J. Bishop Feiman, whom he married on July 19, 1995; two step sons, James Clark, at home, and Greg Desomer of Washington; and three sisters, Carolyn C. Dimpsey wife of Jack, Linda D. Copley, and Cheryl L. Moore.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia D. Berardi.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 3 PM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with The Rev. Shawn Bentley, officiating. A visitation will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday from 2 PM until time of the services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lebanon VA Medical Center, 1700 South Lincoln Avenue, Lebanon, PA 17042.
