Obituary for Herman Deimler

Herman  Deimler
Herman L. Deimler, 80, of Chambers Hill, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018, in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.
He was born December 31, 1937, in Harrisburg, the son of the late Norman L. and Stella Rhine Deimler.
Herman was a 1955 graduate of the former Hershey Vocational School. He retired after 43 years of service from the Heat, Frost & Insulators Union Local #23, where he served as Trustee for 12 years. Herman was proud to be working at the Hershey Medical Center when they broke ground. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hummelstown. Herman was also a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America and its Hershey Region; the Steelton-Swatara Masonic Lodge #775, F&AM and 32nd degree Mason belonging to Harrisburg Consistory; as well as a member of the Chambers Hill Lions Club. A Jack of all trades, Herman enjoyed woodworking, wine making, and gardening.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Saundra Gerlach Deimler, whom he married on April 25, 1959; one son, Peter S. Deimler wife of Jill A. of Liverpool; four grandchildren, Sasha, Dalton, Kyle and Heather; and one great grandson, Case. He is also survived by one sister, Louise Breckenmaker of Chester, and one brother, Norman E. Deimler.
In addition to his parents, Herman was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Michael Deimler; a brother, Vince Lyle Deimler; and a nephew, Vince L. Deimler, Jr.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at 11 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with The Rev. Lois K. VanOrden officiating. Inurnment will be in the Hummelstown Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday in the funeral home from 9:45 to 10:45 AM. A Masonic service will be held at 10:45 AM on Saturday in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 897, Hershey, PA 17033.
