Obituary for Jean Enterline
Jean Elaine Wynn Enterline, 84, of Chambers Hill, passed away Friday, January 29, 2010, in the M. S. Hershey Medical Center.
Born in Shamokin on April 22, 1925, she was the daughter of the late George and Elva Cook Wynn. Jean retired as a secretary from the New Cumberland Army Depot and had worked at the former AMP Inc. She was a 1942 graduate of the former Ralpho Township High School. Jean was very active in her church, Chambers Hill United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir for many years, attended Sunday School, and was an avid Easter Egger. She loved to exercise and was a member of the Central Penn Fitness Center, Harrisburg. Jean was also a member of the Eastern Star; and a former den mother of the Chambers Hill Cub Scout Troop. She was an accomplished artist; an avid reader; and enjoyed gardening in her home and yard.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, James Reed Enterline, on January 4, 2003.
She is survived by two sons, James Wynn Enterline husband of Holly L. Kern Enterline of Memphis, TN, and Frank Edward Enterline husband of Mary K. Boyd Enterline of Reedsville; two daughters, Susan Jean Poticher wife of Charles H. of Harrisburg, and Dianne Kay Fox of Center Valley; one brother, George Richard Wynn husband of Ruth Maurer Wynn of Mifflinburg; one sister, Kay L. Wynn Maurer wife of James Maurer of Shamokin; six grandchildren, Andrew Enterline, Katherine Enterline, Molly Poticher, Frank William Enterline, Julie Poticher Granito and Elizabeth Ann Enterline; and two great grandchildren, James Enterline and William Enterline.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2010, at 2 PM in the Chambers Hill United Methodist Church, 6300 Chambers Hill Road, Harrisburg, with The Rev. Stephen G. Portner, officiating. Interment will be in the Chambers Hill Cemetery. Friends are invited to call at the church for the viewing Tuesday from 1 PM until time of the service.
