Shirley M. Fawber Staub, 79, of Annville, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018.
She was born in Harrisburg on January 29, 1939, and was the daughter of the late Ada Coursnitz Fawber and William Fawber.
Shirley worked at the former Villa Teresa Nursing Home doing laundry until her retirement. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Union Deposit in Hershey, where she was involved with the Women’s Auxiliary. She enjoyed baking, knitting, sewing, and playing bingo.
Shirley is survived by her four daughters, Gloria Beers wife of William of Royalton, Debra Beers wife of Lloyd of Harrisburg, Cynthia Derr wife of Leroy of Elizabethtown, and Roxann Ruhl wife of Thomas of Elizabethtown; a son Larry Fahnestock of Annville; eleven grandchildren; twenty one great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Marlin Fawber of Middletown; and a sister Marguerite Fawber of Hershey.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of over twenty years Thomas “Pop” Staub, and her siblings Melvin and Linda Fawber.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 9, 2018, at 11 AM in the Trefz and Bowser Funeral Home at 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with The Rev. Ursula Schreffler, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Township. A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Friday from 10 AM until time of the service.
