Obituary for Nazianceno De Carmen Perez

Nazianceno De Carmen Perez
Nazianceno Del Carmen Perez, affectionately known as “June”, 79, of Palmyra, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2018, at his home.
Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, on June 11, 1939, June was the son of the late Ernesto Perez Santiago and Palmyra Velez Perez.
June retired as the Kitchen Supervisor for the Pennsylvania State Correctional System. He loved traveling with his wife, cooking, dancing and watching birds. An avid golfer, June also enjoyed fishing, gardening, and tinkering. A man whose smile would brighten a gloomy day, June touched the lives of so many people. More than anything, however, June loved spending time with his wife, daughter, and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Helene Y. Stout Perez, whom he married on September 14, 1963; one daughter, Monique D. Portser and her companion, Doran R. Brown of Hummelstown; three grandchildren, Alexis G. Portser, Isabella B. Portser, and Ryan A. Portser all of Hummelstown; five half-sisters, Elizabeth Brady, Amparo Bridgeforth, Muncy Torres, Mita Ayala, and Abigail Torres; two half-brothers, Steven Santiago and Ferdinand Torres; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of June’s life will be held on Friday, August 10, 2018, at 11 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with The Rev. Dr. Richard A. Clark of Homeland at Home, Hospice, officiating. A visitation will be held in the funeral home on Friday from 10 AM until time of the services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Homeland at Home, Hospice, 2300 Vartan Way, Suite 270, Harrisburg, PA 17110; or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; or Aaron’s Acres, 1861 Charter Lane #114, Lancaster, PA 17601.
