Marilyn K. Dibeler (Kelly)
Marilyn Kelly Dibeler, 77, of Hummelstown, passed away unexpectantly on Monday, August 20, 2018, in the M. S. Hershey Medical Center.
Born in Hummelstown on December 17, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Esther Roth Kelly.
Marilyn retired from the former AMP, Inc., and had also worked for Community General Osteopathic Hospital and Frog and Switch Co. She was a 1957 graduate of the former Hummelstown High School and had served on their Alumni Committee. Marilyn was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church where she was a featured mezzo-soprano with its choir for many years. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. Marilyn enjoyed making pins from old pieces of jewelry and selling them at arts & crafts shows. Some of her favorite times were spent at the beach and at her retreat home in Mt. Gretna. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed shopping for a bargain. Most of all, Marilyn loved and cherished the many dogs and cats in her life.
She is survived by two daughters, Kelly L. Weaver wife of John D. of Camp Hill, and Lisa M. Pealer wife of Kurt D. of Mechanicsburg; one sister, Doris Hooven of Harrisburg; three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Pat Hummel.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc, 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown. A celebration of Marilyn’s life will be held Friday at 2:15 PM in Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with The Rev. Lois K. Van Orden, her pastor, officiating.
