Obituary for Elmer C. Dunkleberger

Elmer C.  Dunkleberger
Elmer C. Dunkleberger, 86, of Hershey, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018, in the Kadima Rehabilitation & Nursing at Campbelltown.
Born on March 14, 1932 in Newport, he was the son of the late Paul E. and Annie E. Fenicle Dunkleberger.
Elmer retired as a Supervisor in the Bean Silos Department from the Hershey Foods Company. He was a 1952 graduate of Hershey High School. Elmer was an U.S. Army veteran having served in the Korean War. He was a member of the Union Deposit United Methodist Church. Elmer was also a member of the Lions Club, American Legion Post 386, and Brownstone Lodge #666, F&AM, all of Hershey, and the Campbelltown Fire Police. He was an avid hunter, as well as, an avid Philadelphia Flyers ice hockey fan and “Rink Rat” for the Hershey Bears. Elmer also enjoyed watching Phillies baseball with his wife.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth Glotfelter Dunkleberger, whom he married on April 18, 1953; a daughter, Gayle A. Wells of Hershey; a grandson, Joe J. Wells of Shermans Dale; and a sister, Betty J. Sheaffer of Elizabethtown.
In addition to his parents, Elmer was preceded in death by three sisters, Violet R. Cramer, Virginia R. Fillmore and Mariah L. Keller; and four brothers, Paul W. Dunkleberger, John C. Dunkleberger, Carl W. Dunkleberger and Thomas M. Dunkleberger.
A private graveside service will be held in the Hershey Cemetery with Pastor Amy M. Raser officiating.
Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, is handling the arrangements.
